Privacy

This describes what actually happens to a video you give Momevera. It is written to match the code, not to be reassuring.

What we store

• Your account — email address, and anything you choose to add to your profile (display name, bio, location, avatar, social links).
• Your source video — the file you upload, or the video downloaded from the link you paste. Uploads are kept so a clip can be re-rendered from them.
• A word-level transcript of the whole source, plus the clips we cut, their thumbnails, titles, captions and scores.
• Billing state — your plan, credit balance and Stripe customer id. Card details never reach us; Stripe holds those.

Who else sees your video

Producing a clip means sending parts of your content to other companies. This is the complete list of who they are and what each one receives. Which of the transcription services is used depends on how this deployment is configured, and both are named below rather than only the one currently in use:

• Groq — where a Groq key is configured, the audio track of your source is sent there to be transcribed. It is the first choice when one is set, so on this deployment it is where most audio goes. Listed first for that reason.
• OpenAI — the transcription fallback when no Groq key is set, and the service that receives short transcript excerpts to write clip headlines and post copy.
• Anthropic — transcript text is sent to Claude to rank which moments are worth clipping, on deployments where that scoring stage is enabled.
• Supabase — hosts the database and the storage buckets holding your uploads, clips and thumbnails.
• Netlify — serves the website itself.
• Stripe — handles payment. They receive your email and payment details directly.
• Brevo — sends transactional email (renewal notices, receipts) where an email key is configured. They receive your email address, never your video.
• A proxy provider — link downloads are routed through a commercial proxy so that platforms do not refuse our datacentre address. The proxy sees which video was requested. It never sees an upload, which is sent to us directly.
• YouTube, Twitch, Kick and Vimeo — when you paste a link, we request that video from them, which tells them a download happened.

We do not sell your content, use it to train any model of our own, or show it to anyone who is not you. Your clips are served over short-lived signed URLs, not public links.

Don't upload what you don't want sent

Because transcription happens off our machines, a private recording's audio does leave our infrastructure. If that is not acceptable for a particular video, do not process it here.

Deleting it

Deleting a project removes its clips and files. Deleting your account, from the Account page, removes your uploads, clips, thumbnails, assets, fonts and avatars, cancels any subscription through Stripe, and deletes the account itself — every row belonging to you is removed by cascade. It is not recoverable.

Transcript text sent to OpenAI and Anthropic is governed by their retention policies, not ours; we cannot delete it on their side.

How long we keep it

Finished clips stay until you delete them or close your account. The uncaptioned master copies and any source file you uploaded are deleted automatically 60 days after the project was created — so the largest copies of your footage do not sit on our storage forever.

Cookies

Only what signing in requires: a session cookie from Supabase Auth. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
